Multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and mentor with over a decade of teaching experience across classical, contemporary, and recording studio environments.

Tuition Fees & Session Options

  • 24-Session Foundational Programme: Total fee ₹28,320 (₹1,000/session + 18% GST). 1 weekly 45–60 minute session.
  • 48-Session Extended Programme: Total fee ₹56,640 (₹1,000/session + 18% GST).

Financing via standard credit card EMI is available at checkout. Total course fees are payable in advance prior to enrolment confirmation.

Illustrative Curriculum Structure

Syllabus roadmaps are tailored and paced to each individual student. Core foundational competencies include:

  • Module 1: Ergonomics, Tuning & Right-Hand Mechanics (Sessions 1–6): Posture, pick grip, fretting hand thumb placement, and alternate picking. Milestone: Play two complete folk/pop chord progressions with a steady metronome pulse.
  • Module 2: Chord Transitions, Minor Chords & Dynamics (Sessions 7–12): Smooth muscle memory transitions without stopping the strumming hand. Milestone: Seamlessly switch between 8 open chords while maintaining continuous 8th-note strumming.
  • Module 3: Introduction to Barre Chords & Fretboard Navigation (Sessions 13–18): Developing barre strength safely without hand strain or wrist tension. Milestone: Perform a full song featuring at least two barre chords cleanly without buzzing.
  • Module 4: Repertoire Performance & Applied Ear Training (Sessions 19–24): Consolidating technique into complete musical pieces and expressive performance. Milestone: Record and submit a comprehensive 24-session foundational recital for faculty assessment.

Equipment & Practice Commitment

Suggested Practice: 20 to 30 minutes daily (5 to 6 days per week) (1 weekly 1-on-1 lesson (45-60 mins) + 2.5 to 3 hours total guided home practice).

Required Equipment:

  • Acoustic or electric guitar (nylon string classical or steel-string acoustic recommended for beginners)
  • Clip-on digital guitar tuner or smartphone tuning app
  • Medium guitar picks (0.71mm to 0.88mm)
  • Reliable laptop, tablet, or smartphone with stable internet (for online classes)

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need my own guitar before the very first lesson?

For online classes, yes — having an instrument at home is essential so you can practice between classes. If you attend in-person at our Perambur studio in Chennai, we can provide a studio guitar for your trial session, but you will still need one at home for regular practice.

Should I start with an acoustic or an electric guitar?

Either is completely fine. Nylon-string classical guitars are gentle on beginners’ fingertips, steel-string acoustics produce bright, resonant tones popular in folk and pop, while electric guitars feature thinner necks and lighter strings that are physically easier to fret. We advise choosing the instrument matching the music you love listening to.

My fingers hurt when fretting chords. Is this normal?

Mild fingertip sensitivity is normal during the first 2 to 3 weeks as calluses develop. Mentors focus on ergonomic hand posture, thumb placement, and minimal-pressure fretting to encourage relaxed, comfortable playing.

Can lessons support international examination preparation?

If you wish to sit for formal grade examinations, your mentor will discuss your target board and adapt your technical exercises and pieces to support your preparation.

What is your missed-lesson and cancellation policy?

Under our terms of service, each course enrollment includes up to 3 compensation classes for sessions rescheduled with at least 24 hours advance notice. Classes cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or missed without notice are counted as used.
